This is a 1 day course running from 9:45am to 5pm.
This is a full auricular acupuncture course teaching both musculoskeletal, systematic points and key points for specific client issues. The course teaches you the knowledge and skills to perform ear acupuncture with various types of needles and non-needle alternatives.
You need not have any prior knowledge of Acupuncture and the course consists of theory, diagnostics and practical hands on application learning auricular (ear) acupuncture using the equipment provided on the day.
There is a full equipment kit as an option, including high quality auricular needles, ear magnets, press needles, hospital grade wipes, metal tray, tweezers, probe and sharps box (RRP £42). The other optional kit, designed for existing Acupuncturists includes ear magnets, ear needles, tweezers and probe (RRP £15)
This course covers various types of auricular needling techniques, accurate location of BOTH Chinese and European ear acupuncture systems, musculoskeletal AND systematic points as well as specialist points for specific conditions.
We have discussions on uses of magnets, seeds, and other alternative treatment methods to needles and provide many standard and specific protocols for various common issues from clinical trials and studies. We discuss in depth anatomy of the ear and key landmarks for finding points and locations quickly and accurately.
Practical needle demonstrations are included, followed by marking up on live ears to check locations prior to needling.
We also give our special “1,2,3” steps to designing a powerful treatment affecting multiple systems and areas.
Assessment is by observation of students performing the therapy during the practical sessions to establish safe practice. Each student must be observed practising correct, safe, protocol in order to be deemed safe to practice and gain a full certificate. (equates to 6 hours CPD).
Optional Diploma Available (equates to 26 hours CPD).
