These courses are a result of an exciting collaboration between the British Acupuncture Federation (BAF) and the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC).

We are also continuing our successful partnership with BAF CEO Chris Davies to offer you CPD 1-day courses, accredited by the Chinese Medical Institute & Register (CMIR).

How To Do Phlebotomy Blood Collection (by Chris Davies)

Sat-Sun. 3-4 June, 10-4:30.
A 2-day course to teach you how to provide blood withdrawal as a service.

This course follows the recognised HSC Skills For Health Standard (HSC 376) and meets the World Health Organization guidelines.

Chris is experienced at teaching this course and has been delivering it within the NHS for many years.

Learn how to take blood from a client either to work as a Phlebotomist or to be able to send off and investigate your clients' blood sample.

You will be trained in how to analyse the results and order further specific tests in order to resolve the client's health issues.

Chris will teach you all the health and safety principles, including the Phlebotomy health and safety protocols.

How to Interpret Lab Results (by Mel Hopper Koppelman)

The theme of this course is 'As Above So Below: Connecting our Biochemistry to the Cosmos'.

Mel is known to many of us for her contributions to research, linking functional medicine to TCM and her contribution to the promotion of our profession.

In this course Mel will teach you:

  • How biochemistry relates to the patient in front of you
  • How to pragmatically use lab testing to support your clinical decision-making
  • How to leverage lab tests that your patients have already had run
  • How to avoid common traps in Functional Medicine Lab testing

Advanced Moxibustion Skills (by Felip Caudet)

Learn from a world expert in moxibustion.

A unique course based on the traditional concepts of powerful Japanese moxibustion.

This is an immersive opportunity to learn how an expert moxibustion practitioner approaches a patient.

Felip specialises in Japanese moxibustion, having studied Fukaya Style with moxibustion masters Tetsuya Fukushima and Hideo Shinma (son of Master Fukaya) for many years.

He is the world reference in the Style and the fourth recognised lineage teacher of Fukaya moxibustion due to his developments and contributions to the Style.

This is the first time that this course has been run in the UK.

Usually based in Spain, Felip takes this course around the world and has agreed to come to AcuMedic Centre to teach you his expertise over 9 days (3 days per month) beginning this September.

We are delighted that David Bomzon and Avi Amir are coming to London for us on 2nd, 3rd and 4th February 2024 to teach the famous 3-day YNSA Scalp Acupuncture course.

In this workshop you will learn the YNSA macros stem acupuncture points, as described by Yamamoto.

These acupuncture points are currently used to effectively treat a wide range of neurological and orthopedic conditions.
