New Course on Clinical Gua Sha at AcuMedic in London

As you are reading this, somewhere yet another social media influencer or star beauty blogger is showing the world how to use facial Gua Sha for natural rejuvenation.

Cosmetic Gua Sha videos have received over 1 billion views on TikTok while 1000s of #guasha photos are posted on Instagram.

Gua Sha is going mainstream, but people are barely scraping the surface of this ancient Chinese medical technique. If only there was somebody who could step in and explain all the therapeutic benefits Gua Sha can bring to the rest of the body.

If you are a healthcare professional, medical doctor, herbalist or acupuncturist then our upcoming Gua Sha workshop is your opportunity to take advantage of a big wellness trend—and enhance your skillset with a powerful time-tested therapeutic technique.

This practical course will explain the main Gua Sha Skills and protocols so you can learn these highly effective techniques.

How Gua Sha Treatment Works

Gua Sha, loosely translated, means 'scraping of the red marks'. The scraping is done on oiled bare skin, with a special tool usually made of Jade or horn, but often metal or ceramic tools are used depending on the strength of the treatment required.

The movement squashes the soft tissues bringing stagnated blood and toxins to the surface where the blood supply to the skin can carry it away more readily than if it were in the deeper layers. It also gives a deep tissue massage and can be very relaxing.
