3D ACUPUNCTURE MODELS

The first 3D acupuncture model was invented by Wang Weiyi (c.987-1067) who served as the key acupuncture and moxibustion expert during the reign of Emperor Tiansheng (1023-31) of the Song Dynasty (960-1279AD). The purpose of the statue was to test trainee doctors' ability to locate meridian pathways during their medical exams. Today, an acupuncture model remains an essential tool for both the training student and the active practitioner.

At AcuMedic Shop we have a comprehensive collection of realistic 3D models of the male and female human body as well as models of the human ears, hands, head and feet. The models are available in various sizes and illustrate acupuncture points, meridian lines and reflexology points.

We also have a collection of 3D animal models for trainee and practising veterinary acupuncturists. Detailed models of cat, horse, cow and pig are all available. Each model displays the acupuncture points on the front side, and, the animal's gross anatomy on the other side where its muscles and internal tissues are illustrated in colour. Each 3D acupuncture animal model also comes supplied with a booklet describing treatment details.

The 3D acupuncture models at AcuMedic Shop include several design features created to help you perfect your ability to locate acupuncture points and meridian channels with precision that can improve your patients' health.
